The Dog-Friendly Frosting
This bit took a little trial and error to get right for piping! I used:
Peanut butter
Greek yoghurt
A bit of corn starch to thicken it up
Fruit for colouring:
🥑 Avocado for green
🍓 Raspberries & pomegranate juice for pink
🤍 Left plain for a creamy colour
I chilled the frosting in the fridge for about 30 mins before piping and this made it way easier to work with.
The Setup
I went a bit extra (as usual): balloons, candles, a tiny birthday hat, and a tablecloth are all from Amazon. Everything I used is in our amazon store which you can find here –

The cake topper
This amazing cake topper was made by @topsicles_au ( you can find them on instagram or on their etsy store — they’ve done Alma’s topper every year and they always get it spot on.
Quick Note on Avocado
Alma loves avocado and she’s totally fine eating them in small amounts. I only used the green flesh — no skin, no pit, nothing unsafe. Just thought I’d say it before someone panics. 😂
Whether it’s your dog’s first or fifteenth birthday, this cake is such a fun way to celebrate them. If you end up making it — tag us so we can see @adventurewithalma I’d love to see what you make.
